4350 Meters of Ascent!

A little further afield, over on the Island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, Richard Butterwick took on the challange of the Transvulcania Ultra Marathon. 74k with over 4350mtrs of climbing and reaching the highest point of the island, Roque de los Muchachos (2426m) before descending down to sea level, this is as hard as it gets! Richard managed to get round in 13.39.10, an impressive time considering the injuries he has had over the last 6 months. He will take some beating on the Strava Hill challenge this month!
