Buttermere Sailbeck fell race: 9.5 mile & 4314ft

6 Toddies chose to risk the wind, rain and clag on Saturday 21st May. The race was
due to start at 12 but was delayed till 12.30, which we were all quite grateful for
as the rain stopped ad the tops cleared of clag.
The race visits 5 summits, Knott Rigg, Ard Crags, Causy Pike, Crag Hill and
Whiteless Pike with a great finishing decent back into Buttermere. This was one
tough race but I was glad I did it, even though I wasn’t able to walk down the
stairs for 3 days.
