Greenhead Park 5k, 12th July

Greenhead Park was the setting for the second of the Cannonball 5k race series, held on each Thursday in July. The course is designed to remain wholly within the park, with fewer twists and turns than the regular weekend park run, making for fast times. Richard Butterwick was the first Todmorden Harrier to cross the finish line. He took an impressive 1st place in the MV45 age group in 19.05. Myra Wells was the first Todmorden female; she claimed 1st FV60 in 34.09. The overall winner was Matthew Merrick of Bingley in 16.15; the first female was Margaret Beever in 19.53.
