Hollingworth Lake 5k, 2nd May

The first of the Hollingworth Lake 5k series took place on Wednesday 2nd May with 146 runners in action. The course incorporates a shallow descent followed by an anti-clockwise lap of the lake and then the finishes with a slight uphill.
The race was won by Gareth Raven of Sale Harriers in 16.15 with Ladies race being won by Charlotte Corrigan of Hyndburn AC in 19.31.
Paul Alexander and Michael Harper were the only Toddies representing the club. Paul finished in 18.21 for 13th and 3rd V40 and Michael crossed the line in 20.38 for 38th place and 8th v45.
