The 20th anniversary Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon was held in Strathcarron, N Scotland, an outstanding area of wild mountains and rocky peaks guaranteed to provide testing courses. The event comprises two days of running carrying all the kit needed for the remote mid-way camp. Calder Valley Fellrunners and Todmorden Harriers were represented by two joint teams and both were amongst the prizes. Jackie Scarf and Mandy Goth were 1st Ladies team in the Score Class with Phil Scarf and Phil Hodgson coming home 2nd team overall (pipped to 1st place by just one point!) in the same class and coming in as 1st Veterans.
