Burnsall Trail Half Marathon, Sat 21 April

Nigel Jamieson of Todmorden Harriers completed the Burnsall Trail Half Marathon on Saturday. The first race in the Due North Race Series is set at the beautiful riverside location of Burnsall. It takes in several sections of the Dales Way footpath with almost 800m of ascent. Runners were rewarded with 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales. Riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields provided a great mix of terrain suitable for those new to trail running but also plenty of challenges and interest for the more experienced trail runner. Nigel came home in 59th place out of 150 runners in a time of 2.12.06. Race winners were Ted Mason in 1.27.47 and Kim Spence in 1.48.19.
