Splashing out at Stanbury

Stanbury Splash Fell Race, 14 Jan

Todmorden had 7 Harriers turnout at the Stanbury Splash on Sunday 14th January to earn a share of the prizes on offer. The 7.5m fell race with 1314ft of climb starting from Penistone Hill Country Park in Howarth saw a field of 305 runners take part.
Annie Roberts for Todmorden was 2nd lady in 56.03 behind Ruby Sykes of Holmfirth who won in 54.38. This is a great start to the season for Annie who is emerging as a really strong contender in the fell running world. Zoe Dijkman and Kath Brierley also put in some great performances, teaming up with Annie to claim the Ladies prize with times of 67.53 and 70.12 respectively.
Stuart Wolstenholme was first male back for the Harriers in 126th place in a time of 63.53.
