Many Todmorden Harriers enjoy other sporting, outdoor and social activities that you can join in with. It is easy to keep up with everything from parties to bike rides through the club forum if you can’t make it to the Tuesday or Wednesday sessions.
We have keen cyclists who participate in audaxes, sportives, mountain bike events, cyclo-cross and triathlons. These can range from short gentle rides to epic events such as the Fred Whitton Challenge and the London-Edinburgh-London.
There is a regular Thursday morning social ride and Toddies often meet up for longer rides at the weekend. We have club cycling jerseys to order.
Camping and Hut Meets
We often meet up to camp or use climbing huts as a base for races, training weekends and recces. For example, the Coniston weekend is a regular fixture based around the classic fell race. The weekend includes games for children and the infamous Krypton Challenge (running, welly throwing, lilo and space-hopper racing) and live music round the camp fire.
Other Outdoor Sports
Many members also climb, canoe, cross-country ski, trek and mountaineer. So you can usually find fellow enthusiasts for whatever you want to do.
We dare you to watch the video (below) made by and featuring Tod Harriers Anne Fox-Kelly and Jim Duffy – take a deep breath…
