Two Seconds in Two Days for Patrick

Widdop Fell Race – Report by Jo Daniels

Eleven Todmorden Harriers made the trip to the Widdop Fell race on Wednesday 15th July. The weather held, with late evening sunshine making for great running condition, with the course much drier than usual. There were good performances from Todmorden runners. Rebecca Patrick, who ran very well the day after Stoodley Pike race to secure 2nd in the women’s event (39th overall) in 1.05.31. Jane Leonard was 1st LV55 in 1.13.52 (8th lady and 76th overall). Rebecca Patrick and Jane Leonard were joined by Kirsty Patten in taking 2nd place in the ladies’ team event.
There were strong finishes from the men too, with John Allan securing 17th place in 1.00.03 and Robert Tyson taking 26th in 1.02.56.
