177 runners set off at The 3 Shires fell race and were soon in the thick mist almost immediately on starting the climb up Wetherlam. The clag was thick over Swirl How and the runners only dropped out of it coming down to 3 Shires stone. The race continues over Pike of Blisco and Lingmoor before dropping back down to the Three Shires in in Little Langdale.
Todmorden ladies Jane Leonard, Mandy Goth and Helen Hodgkinson were the only Toddies to complete the race and won the ladies team prize.
The winner was Matt Atkinson of Keswick in 2.01.20
