Flower Scar Fell Race - Todmorden Harriers

Race Update for 2025
Incorporating the 2025 Yorkshire Fell Running Senior and U23 Championship races.

Race Details
This is a gem of a race with steep climbs, rough moor and fast paths, typifying all that’s best about South Pennine fell running. Starting close to Todmorden town centre, this race will take you to the parts of Tod that other races don’t reach.

Seniors: 11.00am. (No early starts, if you cannot make the cut off time below please do not enter)
Race Category: AM under FRA rules. 660m of climbing over a distance of 13.3km
Entry: £10 FRA members, £12 non members. Entry via Si Entries from late November 2024.
Qualification for the Yorkshire Championships:
- All athletes MUST have been born in North, South or West Yorkshire
- or have 9 months continuous residence in the counties prior to the competition
- An athlete can only compete in the Championships for one County in any 12 months’ period.

Yorkshire Championship Awards:
- Medals – Gold, Silver, Bronze to the first 3 senior men & the first 3 senior women.
- Medals – Gold, Silver, Bronze to the first 3 MU23 & the first 3 WU23.
- Gold medals to all first Men’s & first Women’s teams only, 3 to count.
- All runners MUST be aged 19 or over by 31st December 2025.
Minimum Age: 18
Cut-off: Please note there will be a cutoff point at CP1, 50 mins from the start of the race. Runners will be asked to head back to race HQ if they cannot meet this time due to marshalls being out on the course in winter conditions for prolonged periods
Prizegiving: Prizegiving will be around 1.30pm in the Cricket Club
Food: Hot food will be available from Race HQ. Meat / vegan chilli options at £6 per head
Safety and Kit requirements: Please note participation in this race will require full FRA mandatory kit requirements:
- Waterproof Jacket and Waterproof Trousers (MUST have taped seams)
- Hat (a Buff will not be accepted)
- Gloves
- Map / Compass
- Whistle
- Emergency Food
- This is a winter race so a strict no kit / no run policy will be in place
