31 Toddies Take On The Hebden 22

Report by Jo Daniels

There was a fantastic turnout from the Todmorden Harriers at the perennially popular Hebden Challenge races organised by Allan Greenwood on Saturday. Over thirty Todmorden athletes competed: five took on the short event with twenty-six taking on the longer 22 mile course. The route takes in lots of local areas. Starting in Hebden Bridge runners were taken through Old Town, Slack, Eastwood and Broadhead Clough. Peter Kerridge was the highest placed Harrier home in the Short Event. He finished 6th in 2.24. Steve Radcliffe took the honours in the Long Event. He finished 4th in 3.02. It was indeed a tremendous Todmorden turnout.
