A local race for local people

Blackshaw Head held its annual fell race during its fete on Saturday. 81 runners took on the 5.5 miles with 900ft of climbing around the local moors. With the weather Gods in much better mood than last year’s down pour the race makes a great addition to the fete. Our own Kate Mansell was the 1st woman to cross the line and also bagged the 1st local woman at the same time. Graeme Brown headed the male Toddies in 4th place overall and also clinched the 1st local male prize as well. Claire Anderson also picked up the 1st womens senior prize as well which also contributed to the Toddy womens team (Kate Mansell and also Jane Leonard) getting the 1st team prize. Full results are:
