Wadsworth Half Trog, 3 Dec

The Wadsworth Half Trog is a classic fell race that takes in all the best and varied tough terrain of the full Trog, without the full distance. The race’s move to the first weekend in December meant that the promise of mud was kept in abundance! The frigid weather over the weekend meant that the course did not disappoint with the 9.3 mile route offering plenty to challenge the runners.
The amazing Annie Roberts continued her fantastic season’s form to race home as second lady (15th place overall) in a time of 1.23.12. She was first counter for the Todmorden Ladies, who brought home the first team prize. 2nd counter was Zoe Dijkman 7th lady (61st overall) in 1.41.26 with the Rosie Holdsworth completing the trio as 14th lady (93rd overall) in 1.56.01. Duncan Cannon led the men’s team home. He finished 24th overall in 1.26.44. Second home for Todmorden’s men was Rob Tyson (45th) in 1.33.21, with Dave Collins coming in just 17 seconds behind him in 1.33.38 (47th)
