Todmorden Harriers entered three teams in this year’s race – Ladies, Men’s Vets and Open. Great to see several new faces amongst the teams this year and a strong level of support for this race on our patch!
The Men’s Vets team retained their trophy as Vets Champions, finishing in 7:27:55, nearly an hour ahead of their nearest rivals in the Vet category, and 7th in the race overall. The relay is all about strength in depth and the Tod men showed this right throughout the team, despite the usual eleventh-hour reshuffles!
The Ladies team finished a very creditable third place in 8:41:09, behind Holmfirth in 7:55 and Barlick in 8:03. The team was an excellent mix of experience and newer runners.
The Open (“All stars”) team finished 18th overall in 8:15:37 and again comprised a mix of old and new runners.
