Coniston Fell Race, 5th May

On Saturday 5th May, 247 runners soaked up the heat on the iconic Coniston Fell race as they took on this challenging 7.4mi route, with 3000ft of elevation taking them to the summit of Wetherlam, Swirl How and Coniston Old Man.
There were 10 Toddies who travelled up for this event. The first Toddie to appear at the finish was in the form of Darren Graham finishing in 1.38 for 60th place. James Riley came in as the second runner for the club in 1.46.29 for 98th place just ahead of Stuart Wolstenholme in 1.47.01 for 99th.
Lucy Hobbs was the only Todmorden lady in action and dipped under the two-hour mark with a finish time of 1.59.31 for 166th. Race winners were Bingley’s Ian Holmes in 1.15.22, and Sarah Pyke of Black Combe in 1.38.22
