Last Wednesday twelve Todmorden Harriers raced in the Golf Ball fell race organised by Rossendale Harriers from the Glory Pub in Rawtenstall. This is a fast 5mile race with 900 feet of ascent and named after the Golf Ball radio transmitter on the final descent. This popular race attracted 220 runners and was won by Nick Leigh from Horwich in 38:51. Ian Symington was first Toddie back in 44:14 and 22nd overall. He was closely followed by Darren Shackleton in 44:36 and Dave garner in 47:04. Annie Roberts had a great race and was first woman overall in 47:16.
