Heptonstall Festival Fell Race

The popular annual Heptonstall fell race took place at the weekend. The 5.9 mile route with 1627ft of climb saw 89 runners race over a mixed terrain including cobbles, grassy fields, muddy slopes, open moorland plus more.
The winner, Chris Holdsworth from Clayton Le-Moors Harriers finished in 47.03. Rachel Pilling of Pudsey and Bramley won the women’s race in 59.44.
Todmorden Harriers own Andrew Worster came 3rd in 48.54 to be the first Toddie back of the 8 participating.
Graeme Brown also put in a great performance to finish in 51.48 for 7th with Jon Wright on 6 seconds behind for 8th.
