CROW HILL FELL RACE 5 AUGUST 2014

Crow Hill Fell Race in Mytholmroyd is organised by Todmorden Harriers Ali Mills and Emma Ossenton to raise money to help find a cancer cure. 23 Todmorden Harriers raced with many others marshalling on the course. Young Jamie Wrench was well clear of the other Toddies finishing 5th overall in 33.26. Lucy Burnett was Tod’s first lady home finishing 3rd in the ladies race. The remaining Tod Harriers team counters were closely packed with Ivan Gee, Craig Stansfield and Robin Tuddenham all placing in the top 15. Tod Harriers is not just about the quickest runners, Dave O’Neil’s run of just under an hour is to be admired because he runs with quite severe knee damage. Organiser Ali Mills said after the race “It was a wonderful evening, we had a record number of 138 runners! We raised £650 from entry money and t-shirt selling and people were very generous too. As promised all money will be donated to Ovarian Cancer Research.”
