A Marathon Turnout at Meltham Tough 10k

26 Todmorden Harriers turned out in the first of this year’s club road championship races. The route around Meltham was exposed and hilly and the chilly nature of the day was reflected in few runners competing in just the traditional vest and shorts. Mel Blackhurst continued her fine form of 2014 as first counter for the Tod Ladies team followed by Kath Brierley in a rare appearance on the roads with Melanie Whitmore completing the Tod ladies team. Another rare appearance on the roads, this time for Tod’s resident Aussie, Dwane Dixon, who lead the men’s team home in 16th place overall. Richard Butterwick and Ben Crowther completed the counters in the men’s team. At the back end of the field came Dave O’Neil and Myra Wells demonstrating Todmorden Harriers is open to runners of all abilities.
