The Sabden fell race on Sunday fell nicely in between the blustery showers for the runners to test themselves on this AS category course. At 5.3 miles and 1500ft elevation it’s a tough day out. Grant Cunliffe of Rossendale Harriers made light work of this to finish first in 40.50, more than 2:30 ahead of 2nd place Dave Motley from Clayton le Moors Harriers. James Riley was the only Toddie in action but managed a respectable 52.39 for 21st out of the 45 runners in action. The ladies race winner, Deborah Gowens finished in 52.28 for 20th place.
