Last Saturday, six Tod Harriers competed in the Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round. There was a record turnout of 252 runners who ran the ten mile tour, up and around Pendle Hill and involving 1936 feet of climb. Conditions were great, in comparison to last year’s snow, and Lindsey Brindle of Horwich Harriers smashed the women’s record by over 9 minutes in a time of 1:15:22. Annie Roberts was the first Toddie back in 1:18:24, she had a superb run and was second lady and 43rd overall. Dan Taylor was the first Tod man back in 1:21:32 in 50th place and followed by Ben Holmes in 1:24:05, 64th overall. Derek Donohue finished in 1:45:14, (197th), Jane Leonard in 1:51:29 (221st) and Nerys Robinson in 1:51:46, (223rd). Overall race winner was Pudsey’s Rob Hope in 01:05:03.
