Todmorden out in Force to meet the Hebden Challenge

The Hebden Challenge Event, 21 Jan 2017
Race Report by Jo Daniels

There was a fantastic turnout from the Todmorden Harriers at the perennially popular Hebden Challenge races organised by Allan Greenwood on Saturday. Starting in Hebden Bridge runners are taken through Old Town, Slack, Eastwood and Broadhead Clough. The event is held as a Challenge rather than a race, but the competitive spirit is still present with a large contingent of Todmorden Harriers rising to the challenges of both courses. The post event catering was a strong draw and brought up hidden reserves of energy for the final miles. First finisher for Todmorden in the long event was Nick Barber, with Graeme Brown second.
