Round two of the West Yorkshire Winter league took place last Sunday at Bramley. After recent flooding in the area a mild and dry day greeted the 13 Toddies in attendance. The course took a lap of a rugby field before heading into the woods for an 8k meander with views of the Leeds- Liverpool canal. One big watersplash ensured that no-one went home with dry feet!
Unfortunately a marshalling error at a ‘horsehoe’ shape section of the route caused the section to accidentally become a ‘loop’. Some runners did the loop, others went straight on and some even did the loop twice! Then the timing system failed and the backup video recorder got knocked over!
Despite the best efforts of the organisers the results had to be declared void. But fun was had and for the record here’s the finishing order for the Toddies :
Darren Gilman also ran but his position wasn’t recorded
