Duddon Valley Fell Race, 2nd June

The Duddon Valley fell race in South Lakes put some of the club’s hardy fell runners to the test on 2nd June in deep fog. This 18 mile classic challenges participants through a gruelling 6000ft of climb. Graeme Brown had a superb run for a top ten finish for 9th place in 3:33.23. Paul Hobbs clinched a course PB in 3:42.22 for 17th. Annie Roberts took a few interesting route choices to finish in 4:37.04 for 43rd. Lucy Hobbs and Kate Mansell took several unplanned additional hours wandering around the fells in dense clag looking for the checkpoints but their results have not yet been shared by the race organisers.
