Ilkley Moor Fell Race, 24 Feb

Running over Ilkley moor Bar t’at this weekend could have resulted in serious sun burn due to the unseasonable warm, sunny weather. Saying that, no runners were complaining with the weather. A short fell race of just over 8k with 400 metres of climbing, sending runners over steep, slippery rocky climbs and descents, its not a beginners race! Three Toddies were amonst the 264 runners with Dwane Dixon returning to racing and Annie Roberts with her second race of the weekend. Annie managed to pick up 3rd lady spot with a time of 46.58 with Dwane finishing just in front in 34th place with a great time of 46.09. Chris Standish finished in 113th place in a time of 53.50. Race winners were Ilkley’s Jack Cummings in 38.36 and Ribble Valley’s Katie Walshaw in 43.59
