The Calderdale Way Ultra

The Calderdale Way Ultra took place on Saturday 6th of June starting and finishing at Todmorden Cricket Club. The route traverses most of Calderdale twisting and turning around the moors for 51.5 miles. Tod Harriers were represented by the duo of Issy Pollard and Jane Booth. The two ladies are doing the run as part of a 100 mile charity effort, raising money for organ donation work. The challenge will move to the lakes shortly for the Lakeland 50 miles ultra. Issy and Jane kept going all day long, even as the wind gusted up to 50 miles an hour. Even after almost 13 hours they finished with smiles on their face. They were rewarded for their effort as they picked up a prize for first ladies team. In the shorter 28.5 mile route Todmorden were represented by some of the newer members. Coming in in 3rd place was Steve Radcliffe and following not far behind in 5th was Andy Walker, both looked in good shape at the finish so thing are looking good for the future.
